For over forty years before his untimely death in 2013, Storm Thorgerson was a designer of record covers and director of music videos, films, and TV commercials. As famed design company, Hipgnosis, Thorgerson along with Aubrey (Po) Powell and later partner Peter Christopherson created some of the most recognized and iconic record sleeves in the history of Rock and Roll including THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON for Pink Floyd and HOUSES OF THE HOLY for Led Zeppelin among hundreds of others for bands such as Genesis and Peter Gabriel, Paul McCartney and Wings, 10cc, Black Sabbath, UFO and T-Rex. Thorgerson continued his work with StormStudios in later years working with musicians such as Muse, The Cranberries, Steve Miller, Catherine Wheel, The Mars Volta, Audioslave, and Biffy Clyro.
